Conservation System Foundation
You might have recently noticed that I was not updating this site for about a week and a half. Last week I was super busy working on a bunch of other projects, including this one, so I had no spare time to post on personal topics.
The National Conservation System Foundation launched last week to much fanfare, and myself and several other co-workers got to create the website for it. Berit did the project management. Josh did some art direction. Erik Loften created the template. Tim Jones provided some Drupal advice. I built the site in drupal, and made some last-minute changes to the template design.
Edward Norton did the voice for the video, and I would have gotten to meet him at the organization launch gala, had I not been too tired from building most of the site the night before. Most of our time recently has been spent working for the Foundation's sister organization, the Conservation System Alliance, whose site we unfortunately couldn't launch last week, but hopefully will be released soon.

he National Conservation System Foundation was created to ensure the Bureau of Land Management is able to provide long-term protection for the lands and waters within the National Landscape Conservation System. Our mission is to protect, restore and expand the Conservation System through education, advocacy, and partnerships.
Today, the Conservation System faces serious challenges. But in communities across the West, volunteers are joining together to support the Conservation System. They're maintaining trails, helping scientists study important archaeological sites, helping with education, and demanding that politicians and land managers protect the system.
