Back with Pigeons
I just started moving files to my new 1TB external hard disk, and finally got around to moving all my pictures off flash cards. That means I actually have room on them to take more photos, and you will hopefully see many more from now on.
Also, it's fairly certain that I will be moving to San Francisco some time in October to work with Architecture for Humanity. I signed a job offer letter and sent it back on Friday, so things are about as official as they can get.
I am going to miss DC, but I'm sure that moving to SF will at least be inspirational from a photographic standpoint. When you live in the same neighborhood for 5 years you start tuning out the surroundings, so a change of scenery will likely give me a lot of new subject matter.
You might be interested in checking out the desktop version I created from the photo of the pigeons flying.

A nice gentleman that lives in the neighborhood. He had a stroke, and therefore might not be considered the best conversationalist, but he is super nice and everyone in Mount Pleasant loves him.
Seems kinda unethical to be feeding fried chicken to pigeons, but they seem to have few qualms about eating it.
I was standing right in the middle of the pigeons when they all took off at once. It was very loud.

Congratulations on the new job!
Sorry to hear you'll be leaving DC, but this sounds like a great opportunity.
